The easiest outing: you stay in town and follow the Atlantic. The Aïn Diab corniche comes alive late in the day, when the light drops over the ocean. A good way to get used to the car before going further.

Tizi n’Tichka
The Tizi n’Tichka road crosses the High Atlas between Marrakech and Ouarzazate. Hairpins, earthen villages, valleys that open all at once. Mountain weather changes quickly; check the forecast and road conditions before you go.

Dadès Gorges
Further south-east, the road up the Dadès Gorges draws its hairpin bends above the valley. From Casablanca it’s a trip of several days that needs planning: tell us where you’re going and we’ll suggest the best car and the conditions for a long drive.
